There are two ways of counseling: the conventional way of counseling and our Christian counseling pastoral counselor style advice.
With so many concerns and problems arising all over the world with marriage, family, couple, relationship, children, parenting, church, finance, work, employment, and individual issues the conventional way of counseling just does not seem to be the answer. Because conventional counseling is based on human knowledge, it is limited and cannot answer the questions and give the lessons that we here at Lifeline Counseling Ministry Christian counseling can and does provide.
Let’s take the classic board game of chess for an example. Which one’s advice would you rely on to make you a chess grand master? The inventor of chess or a chess player.
The answer is obvious. Of course you would listen to the inventor. Being the creator he would know more than any other person who ever lived, who is living or will ever live just because he is the creator (or the inventor) of chess.
Life is like that game of chess. We know that God is the creator of all life and right now there are about 6 billion players playing God’s game of life. Like in any game, some people are winning and some are losing. But the Creator has mercy on these losers, wanting to help and turn them into winners.
But some of these losers say “no” to God’s offer and decide to instead turn to other players in the game and seek their advice. Some of these same people whose advice is being sought have rejected God, the creator, and have made up their own advice.
You may be sitting there superficially thinking that you see why the losers were losers, and how foolish are those people of whom they sought advice. But if you really look and think deep, you can see the reflection of yourself in those losers.
How many times have you lost in marriage, family, relationship, employment, whatever. You know the sting of pain that accompanies those mistakes and wrongs and know that several times you’ve come to that fork in the road where you choose between the Creator’s advice and the advice of other players—of other finite mortals like you.

LCM offers practical guidelines for counseling straight from the Bible unlike other counselors and counseling organizations, who take their counseling formulas from other sources such as psychiatric counseling, psychotherapy, and many more. Some take counseling from other sources and combine it with Christian counseling.
But we know that some individuals do not want these types of counseling, and we also know that these forms of counseling are not always the best.
